It is an ongoing joke amongst my friends that I seem to constantly be moving. And after a year and a half at my current residence, I will be moving again. The house I live in belongs to
CAPOFERRO and was a temporary residence until we decided to develop it. Well, just before Christmas, I got the final word that as of February, I will be homeless again. So the search commences. I spent the first 7 years I was in Toronto living in various apartments and condos in the downtown core before moving to the outer edges of the city. This holiday season I've spent a great deal of time downtown and am longing to be back down there. I'm currently looking in the St. Lawrence Market area, where I lived for just over 7 months a few years ago. Out of all the places I lived downtown, this was by far my favourite neighbourhood, it has a lot of history and a very European feel and is safe, clean with lots to do
(and a great design district up on King St.)
.

However, due to the logistics of commuting (our office is located in the far northwest corner of the city - St. Lawrence Market is the far southeast corner of downtown) I'm also looking in the Yonge-Carlton and Yonge-Lawrence neighbourhood. Stay tuned - it's always surprising where I end up.
Can't wait to see where you end up - How exciting!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck finding a new place! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find something fantastic (and fantastically affordable) in the area you want.
