dining room or office boardroom?

Either way - love the dark floors, white walls, soaring ceiling, vintage chairs and salvaged table - and the shear volume of the space.  From Plastolux.

an ideal office

There isn't anything about this office that I don't like - the lucite chairs, the industrial light fixtures, the informal gallery wall, the fan, the rustic wood bowl, the oversized wire basket, and all that white!  Spotted on sfgirlbybay.

moth design

The wonderful thing about blogs is that you click link after link finding beautiful things and people at every turn.  Last week I stumbled across Erica's blog Moth Design.  Such gorgeous inspiration from her own finds and her home... well, it's stunning.  I wanted to share with you her kitchen and office, two of my favourite rooms.  In the kitchen I love the simple lines, material and palette and love the scale of the accessories, the apple and the glass jars.  And the niche over the range, an element I design into almost every kitchen, it's so useful!  And her office, with subtle splashes of colour and such beautiful textures.  Hop over to Moth Design and check out more loveliness from Erica.

dark walls

In every house/apartment/hole-in-the-wall I've ever lived, I've always worked with accent walls in dark charcoals, blues and blacks.  To me, it's both modern and graphic and ...  me.  See below.

In my current apartment, I've worked with all white walls, something I love, but the more and more I see images like the ones below, the more I want a dark wall somewhere in my apartment.  Somewhere.  Stay tuned. [Images below from Aesthetic Outburst, Dwell, Green is the New Black].

sboobs

Also from le mouton noir & co., SBooBS, which trust me, don't try Googling, you won't find these little guys. A collection of little teletubby style creatures for the office that will add a little bit of whimsy to your desk.

the office | a study

I'm currently working on a home office for a client. It's a modern space, I plan to use a mix of Danish wood pieces, perhaps an industrial metal desk or credenza, grasscloth and lots of artwork and bookshelves. Here are a few of the images I'm using for inspiration - I'm even curious to see where this space ends up.

little green notebook's office redo

Love the office remodel Jenny from Little Green Notebook did over the weekend - and with a budget of $0. I am particularily fond of Jenny's use of colour - which is a staple throughout her gorgeous home. Check out the play by play here.

cork done right

My favourite cork wall. The furniture and built-ins aren't bad either! Seen in Architectural Record.

i would live here

House in Iporanga by Arthur Casas. So many things I love - the cumaru outside and in, the large expanses of glass, the symmetry, the tactility of the furnishings, the sliding glass panels dissecting the office, the catwalk, the living room spilling onto the terrace... I could go on and on. (Via Modern Residential Design)
