This weekend I finally tackled some of the little projects that remained undone. A trip to IKEA and a few hours of cleaning, painting and nailing produced these:
a new lamp shade for my father's handmade lamp,

a framed treasure for the kitchen: an original bag from Martin's Happy Hour Popcorn, a popcorn brand owned by my mother's family,
.
a fixed frame and new addition to the hallway, this old painting is a vintage find and albeit a bit old and tacky, I love the faded colours and the juxtaposition against my hallway bulletin board and old bench.
